CROWDED LONELINESS--If you have ever been in that place where you feel disconnected and aloof, you can understand this phrase. I came across this phrase sometime back and wondered what was wrong with me.

I had many people around me who loved me, but I still felt alone. It was hard to get out of bed in the morning, and when I did, I needed to give myself a pep talk to get anything done.

It felt like everyday was a fight to be productive. But more than that, it was hard to love well. When we cut ourselves off from others we can sink further into depression and begin the downward spiral.

Since we are created in God's image, our lives have extreme value. We were created for community. We need others in our lives.

If you are going through Crowded Loneliness, don't lose heart! Keep going! Lean in on the Lord and cry out to Him. He can handle all your fears, burdens, hurts, and struggles.

You have a purpose in life. Take some time to reflect and get back on track. Include others in your journey.

This verse helped me regain my perspective...

"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
